The book contains views of scholars, critics and practicing artistes on various aspects of Bharat Muni's Natyasastra.
Natyasastra, ascribed to Bharata Muni, is primarily a text for theatrical arts. But as dance, gesture, music, poetry, costume, masks and decoration as essential ingredients of theatre, the Natyasastra is regarded as a fundamental text for them also.
