In the 1970s Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati carried out research on the extraordinary similarity between pre-Columbian art and yoga vidya, the science of yoga. An exposition

was convened to show his findings to the general public during the World Yoga Convention held in Bogota, Colombia, in 1975.

We are honoured to produce the original catalogue of the exposition which establishes beyond doubt the universality of yoga and thus of human thought and realization. The

vestiges of a yogic culture found in pre-Columbian art throughout Latin America are proof that the science of yoga belongs to all times and civilizations. Yoga is indeed a culture,

embedded in the 'collective consciousness of all humanity'.
